Mixed use building complex

The Watershed building confronts the challenge of redesigning a whole city block in Metaxourgeio using the metaphor of urban built volumes’ erosion by the traces of the city’s fluidity. The void space of the building complex forms a central positive space, leaving the surrounding built forms carved as solid remains of the whole city block after erosion impact. The central void space is contained within the structure but not enclosed; it emerges freely to the surrounding streets, through the flows forming the Watershed.
